Mazz Swift (@MazzMuse) is a world-class violinist, singer/songwriter, and ass-kicker! She also co-wrote the song “Missing Link” on the last Stratospheerius CD. Her new project, “MazzMuse”, was produced by Vernon Reid, legendary guitarist from Living Colour. This is a culmination of 3 years of work, funded by a successful $17,000 Kickstarter campaign. We are honored to have Mazz as a friend and colleague and Stratospheerius is honored to open for her at her CD Release Party on December 19th. Here’s the info. Join us!

Joe Deninzon returns to teach at the Mark Wood Rock Orchestra Camp July 13-19!
I am excited to announce that I will be returning again to the Mark Wood Rofck Orchestra Camp this summer!
Although the focus of the camp is to educate and inspire string players to “plug in” and break out of the classical box, this camp is NOT just for string players. Singers and all instrumentalists are welcome! Topics covered are arranging, theory, alternative techniques, recording technology, stage presence, music business, and much more…. plus plenty of opportunities to perform and blow everyone away!
If you are in the New York and Rockland County areas, I would like to draw your attention to two fantabulous shows that Stratospheerius will be playing with our good friend, Jeremy Beck. jeremy is an incredible singer/songwriter/organist who has played with the likes of Bonnie Raitt, Missy Elliot, Kool & The Gang, The Lennon Sisters, and James Hunter among many others.
Jeremy is from Alabama, and his band mixes Southern blues, R&B, country rock, and soul.
We are honored to be doing two double bills with the Jeremy Beck Band! Please come and support, dance, drink, and hang out with us!

We are proud to announce that we have broken ground on 4 new songs that we plan to release as singles in the coming months. Here are some photos from an incredible session we recently had. Thanks again to our friend, the brilliant Rave Tesar for engineering, co-producing, hearing all the little details we miss, and bringing out the best in our music!

Joe Deninzon Plugging in from Mel Bay Publications
Are you a violinist who is curious about “going electric” but have no idea where to begin? This book will walk you through the process of choosing an electric violin, shopping for an amplifier, and using effects pedals. The book also covers improvisation in the genres of blues, rock, and funk. Chopping and other rhythmic techniques for bowed string instruments are explored, as well as playing in a band, rock string arranging and working with DJs. “Plugging In” will open new worlds of creativity for you as a string player and help you find your own voice in this brave new world!
